Welcome to Kids’ Uni

Kids’ Uni operates four Early Education and Care services and provides high quality care and education for children from 6 weeks through to 6 years of age. Kids’ Uni also offers a service for children with additional needs. The Kids Uni Early Intervention Service provides therapy services and early childhood supports for for children aged 0 to 6 years with additional needs or developmental delays and their families.

We recognise how important every child’s first five years of development are. In fact, we know that children never learn more than they do in their first five years! Being in a quality environment is critical during this time of rapid development. In response to this, we invest in quality measures to support our work with children. Research tells us that highly qualified staff translates into high quality programs. We are committed to placing degree qualified teachers in every classroom in our services. Just like we would not send our children to a primary school classroom without a qualified teacher, we should expect the same for our youngest and most vulnerable children.

In addition to this, we support our educators to be the best that they can be for your children. We offer extensive, high quality professional learning opportunities to our team. We have a highly qualified and experienced leadership team in place to support the team, including a Pedagogy and Curriculum Support Teacher, an Inclusion Teacher and an Early Childhood qualified Children’s Services Manager.

We are proudly a not-for-profit organisation, families fees are re-invested into our services and the University community. This investment is demonstrated in the exceptional high ratings that we continue to receive under the National Quality Framework. The team are proud to have achieved a 100% rating of Exceeding the National Quality Standard for all Kids’ Uni services. We encourage you to make a time to come in, meet our team and explore our programs further. Give us a call to organise a visit.

OUR STANDARDS AND KEEPING CHILDREN SAFE

At Kids’ Uni we are advocates for families and children. Therefore we actively participate in National frameworks that are in place to improve quality and to keep children safe.

The National Quality Framework in Early Education and Care aims to raise quality and drive continuous improvement. It includes the National Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, the National Quality Standards and the National Quality Rating and Assessment process. We are proud that all of our services are rated as Exceeding the National Quality Standards across all quality areas. You can look up our ratings, and ratings for other services here:

Kids Uni is also proudly a Child Safe Organisation. We have adopted the National Child Safe Standards and we have extensive policies and practices in place to protect children and keep them safe. A child safe organisation puts the best interests of children and young people first.

“A child safe organisation means that the place where our children spend time is safe from physical, sexual, psychological, ill-treatment and neglect. A child safe place will have established rules to make sure children and young people are kept safe” (Office of the Children’s Guardian).
