Kids’ Uni operates four Early Education and Care services and provides high quality care and education for children from 6 weeks through to 6 years of age. Kids’ Uni also offers a service for children with additional needs. The Kids Uni Early Intervention Service provides intervention therapy for children aged 0 to 6 years of age. We offer speech therapy, occupational therapy, key worker services and therapists trained in the Early Start Denver Model approach.
We recognise how important every child’s first five years of development are. In fact, we know that children never learn more than they do in their first five years! Being in a quality environment is critical during this time of rapid development. In response to this, we invest in quality measures to support our work with children. Research tells us that highly qualified staff translates into high quality programs. We are committed to placing degree qualified teachers in every classroom in our services. Just like we would not send our children to a primary school classroom without a qualified teacher, we should expect the same for our youngest and most vulnerable children.
In addition to this, we support our educators to be the best that they can be for your children. We offer extensive, high quality professional learning opportunities to our team. We have a highly qualified and experienced leadership team in place to support the team, including a Pedagogy and Curriculum Support Teacher, an Inclusion Teacher and an Early Childhood qualified Children’s Services Manager.
We are proudly a not-for-profit organisation, families fees are re-invested into our services and the University community. This investment is demonstrated in the exceptional high ratings that we continue to receive under the National Quality Framework. The team are proud to have achieved a 100% rating of Exceeding the National Quality Standard for all Kids’ Uni services. We encourage you to make a time to come in, meet our team and explore our programs further. Give us a call to organise a visit.
At Kids’ Uni, we recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as being the first people of our nation and are committed to participating in a strong shared vision for reconciliation in Australia. Our services embed cultural responsiveness and inclusive practices into our everyday curriculum. We have a Reconciliation Plan in place and we encourage all children and families to join us in working towards the initiatives in our plan.
We would like to respectfully acknowledge the Dharawal peoples as they are the traditional custodians of the land where we come together at Kids Uni each day. We acknowledge the ancestral spirits, the Elders of the past, present and emerging and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who are present in our services.
Here at Kid’s Uni we value our shared learning journey with our children, our families and our wider community. We look forward to a hopeful and reconciled future where there is a shared sense of identity for all people in our country.
