Kids’ Uni North

7:30AM- 6:00PM

Kids’ Uni North operates from the University of Wollongong Main Campus and provides long day care for children aged six weeks to six years.

Our team relish in nurturing and teaching children in the formative years of their lives through establishing not only a secure and safe environment but strong relationships to enable children to explore through play-based learning. Kids’ Uni North offer full-time, part-time and occasional care.

Kids’ Uni North is dedicated to providing high quality education and care for children aged six weeks to six years. The service operates from the University of Wollongong Main Campus, nestled under Grandmother Mountain, Geera (Mount Keira) and we value our connection to Country and community in this special place.

Our practices are driven by four main philosophical underpinnings – relationships, respect, inclusion and play-based learning. We see strong, reciprocal and respectful relationships as being the foundation for our work with children, families and communities. We view children as being capable and active learners who have a voice in shared decision making about their learning. We understand the importance of teaching children valuable dispositions for lifelong learning and deliver this through play-based educational programs. Play is a context for children’s learning that allows them to explore their social and physical worlds as active participants in their learning.

We respect and celebrate our diverse community and are committed to cultural responsiveness and social justice. We promote and implement inclusive practice, and support children and families to build strong connections to community to strengthen their sense of identity and belonging.
